HARMONY DAY

Harmony Day celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

Our staff and students thoroughly enjoy celebrating and sharing their culture with one another. We are very blessed as a school community to be among such a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and ethnicities.

On Friday 19th March, we celebrated Harmony Day. Our staff and students looked fantastic in their cultural/orange clothing.

Thank you to all families for your contribution on this day. We are proud to announce that we raised $401.05, bringing our total to $666 for the Good Friday Appeal, so far!

Staff and Students would like to share some traditional recipes in the spirit of Harmony Day. Thank you to those who contributed. Please follow the link below.

Additionally, a cook book will be placed in our school library.

SECONDARY NEWS

TURKISH

Dear All,

As we are coming to the end of Term One, I would like to share with you what we have been doing in Turkish Secondary Classes. Students have learnt different units about time, talent, classroom, greeting in different levels and they practised through their books as well as using technological tools like iPads to reinforce learning. Students have created Quizlet accounts in order to use in class and at home, to practise their learning. We have also used the same app in class to engage and play in groups to strengthen bonding with one another.

I would like to share some pictures from class which will help you have more of an idea about the classroom environment, even if it may not reflect all what we have been learning.

I hope you to have a great holiday with your families

Kind regards,
Mr Sinan Baydogan
